Bobby Johnson, MA, LPCC

Bobby is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). He earned his master’s degree in clinical mental health from Walsh University. Bobby is an approved EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained therapist through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and received his training through the Institute for Creative Mindfulness.
Bobby enjoys working alongside individuals who are looking to better cope with and resolve present challenges related to past experiences of trauma. More specifically, Bobby enjoys working alongside those who may experience challenges related to perfectionism, people pleasing tendencies, self-esteem and self-acceptance, guilt/shame, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, social/performance-based anxiety, religious/spiritual trauma, grief, and relationship challenges. Bobby enjoys helping people understand the origins of their challenges, improve ability to cope with them, and ultimately work towards resolving them.
Bobby believes that every person deserves to feel unconditionally safe, connected, accepted, and free to be/express themselves and seeks to honor those needs in his office above all else. Bobby also believes that therapy looks different for everyone and works to individualize the process to fit the needs of the person joining him in therapy.
Bobby is married to his wife, Sophie, and they have a crazy mini goldendoodle named Winston who enjoys endless games of fetch. Bobby likes to run, read, listen to all kinds of music, do yoga, play video games, talk sports (especially fantasy football), and spend time with Sophie and Winston in his free time.
