Joanna Williams is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the State of Ohio. She earned her Master’s degree in Education in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron in 2000.  Joanna has experience working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and across the lifespan with various mental health concerns.

She especially enjoys working with couples and helping them to find creative and new ways to relate to one another to better their relationship.  She also enjoys working with women and couples struggling with marital issues and betrayal trauma connected to sexual integrity issues.  Her main area of focus is helping women find healing from struggles with anxiety, depression, and life stressors including adoptive family issues, spiritual concerns, body image, and sexual health. She is also trained in EMDR and believes the mind/soul/body connection is transformative, integrating faith into treatment if desired. She finds great satisfaction in helping individuals and families grow closer to their goals and find true lasting joy in their relationships. Joanna has been partnered with her husband, Taylor, in ministry for twenty-two years.

Throughout her years in ministry, she has led various small groups on life topics, taught and spoke for Women’s groups, coordinated children’s groups, led emotional health recovery groups, and marital groups. She enjoys her marriage to Taylor of twenty-two years, and her role as a mother to three wonderful teenagers.
