Bobby is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He obtained his master’s degree in clinical mental health from Walsh University. He is currently supervised by Quebec Gibbins, MA, LPCC-S. Bobby enjoys and is open to working with a variety of populations with a variety of presenting concerns including but not limited to ADHD, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, emotional regulation and processing, grief, life transitions, maladaptive cognitions, self-esteem issues, spirituality concerns, sports related issues, stress management, LGBTQ+ issues, and trauma.
Some common treatment approaches that Bobby takes are person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based. He enjoys utilizing games, art, and other creative and engaging techniques when working with children and adolescents. However, he believes that a good counselor is one who is able and willing to be flexible, open-minded, and individualistic in how they approach each client.
What Bobby loves most about working as a counselor is the opportunity to offer a sense of unconditional acceptance, empathy, and positive regard to another in exchange for the privilege of witnessing their growth. To be a part of this process of supporting another as they realize and unlock the strength to overcome whatever it is that stands in their way is something that he finds very meaningful, humbling, and inspirational. Bobby is a great believer in the strength that lies within each person. To give this strength a chance to reveal itself, he aspires to create the sort of safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment alongside an unconditional sense of respect for and belief in the person sitting across from him.
Since the 3rd grade, Bobby has enjoyed running and has always had a passion for athletics. As a former cross country and track athlete at Butler University, Bobby has a particular interest in working with athletes of any ability level who are looking for a safe space to be able to talk about and problem solve whatever struggles they may be facing.
Bobby is engaged to his fiancé Sophie. They enjoy trying new restaurants and coffee shops, watching new movies and shows, and going for walks.
